Description
ABOUT:
In Tlogosari Village, East Java, the Walida Cooperative is a social non-profit led by Ahmad Muhlisin in partnership with Belift Green Beans. The cooperative grows coffee and allocates 20% of profits to fund a tuition-free K–12 school for local children. Walida coffee is grown in the foothills of Mount Argopuro in the Situbondo Regency. The coffee is naturally processed due to limited water availability in the region and the absence of government-supported irrigation infrastructure. Cherries are selectively harvested, sorted by flotation, and sun-dried on raised beds before being hulled, density-sorted, and packed for export.
